Requirements

  1. Add a “Summaries” header at the top of your research report.
  2. If it is a Teammate job, add your templated language.
  3. The first 1-2 sentences must directly answer the client’s question.
  4. If it is a Full Client Update, briefly state that the information was not available and let the client know what you provided instead. You can then address it fully in Creative Solutions.
  5. Provide an outline of what we provided. This does not need to be every single thing you provide, but a general outline that lets the client know what we provided in the research. DO NOT restate the RCs.
  6. This section is written in paragraph form.
  7. Directly under the Summary, we will include a data visualization on single analyst projects.

What Doesn’t Belong in This Section

  1. Any data availability issues unless it is a Full Client Update.
  2. The use of any creative strategies.
  3. Any source date or source quality issues.
  4. Citations

Why is a summary important? The summary sets up the research- think of it as a map for the client. It also gives the client the answer to their question, which is what they asked for!
