Whether clients want to explore a topic, validate an idea, analyze a situation, or create a data set, Wonder delivers fast, high-quality, and comprehensive research to meet their goals and objectives.

Based on the format of the Research Criteria (i.e., instructions that outline what a Research job will provide), there are three types of Research jobs at Wonder:

Interpreted Research Jobs

Interpreted Research jobs are individual 3-hour research requests that include a list of Research Criteria (RCs) and other helpful notes provided by an Interpreter.

Each Interpreted Research job requires 3 hours of work (~120 minutes for researching and ~ 60 minutes for writing, formatting, etc.). You are given 7 hours to complete an Interpreted Research job.

Project Research (PR) Jobs

Project Research (PR) jobs do not go through the Interpret step and are created when the client approves one or more research paths (aka Proposed Next Steps) from a Strategy.

Project Research jobs can consist of multiple requests, typically anywhere from 1 to 10 requests within one job. (Note: Each request is a 3-hour research block). You'll have a dynamic timer to complete a Project Research job based on the number of requests in the job, for example;

1 request: 3-hour time expectation; 7-hour timer

2 requests: 6-hour time expectation; 18-hour timer

3 requests: 9-hour time expectation, 27-hour timer

4 requests: 12-hour time expectation; 36-hour timer

5 requests: 15-hour time expectation, 45-hour timer, and so on.

Job Assignment

You can claim jobs via the Assigner, and in some cases, via email.

Claiming Jobs from the Assigner

The Assigner is an algorithm that’s designed to assign available jobs to Analysts as they move through a queue. The queue is the list of Analysts waiting for jobs, prioritized by the time they logged in and Analyst status. Diamond status analysts receive priority on the assigner, followed by Platinum status, then Gold status analysts. Analysts will notice that their place in the line might fluctuate. For example, if a Platinum status analyst is in line, and a Diamond analyst joins the queue, they will be prioritized in the line.

To claim a job via the Assigner, log on to the Dashboard. Click the green “Go Online” button, select the jobs you’d like to work on, for example, Research (Interpreted Research) or Project Research, and click “I’m Ready”.

You will now join the queue and wait for a job to be offered to you. The Assigner will display your place in the queue as well as your connection status.

When you are offered a job, you’ll have 20 seconds to click “Accept”. If you don’t click Accept, you’ll be offered the same job again with another 20 seconds to click Accept. If you don’t accept the job the second time, you will lose your place in the queue and the job will move to another Analyst.
