<aside> ➡️ Any time we prepare an outline, be it a Strategy or a Teammate, we will do the following as stated below.

The goal of the Strategy job is to set projects up for success. When clients launch projects at Wonder, they trust us to deliver high-quality research outlines by conducting preliminary research, determining feasibility, and proposing research paths that help them meet their goals and objectives. When analysts review Request Criteria, they trust us to clearly and concisely communicate clients' expectations.

As a managed marketplace, Wonder guarantees the quality of the work our Analysts produce. To help you, our Research Management team, deliver on our promise of quality work, we have outlined the requirements for Strategy jobs below. These requirements are Wonder's Minimum Quality Standards that Research Managers are expected to meet in all Strategy jobs.

Strategy jobs are audited and quality-checked against these Minimum Quality Standards

Preparation

Read the Chat Transcript

Start by reading the Chat Transcript, the original record of what the client requested. The Chat Transcript is your main source of information on the client’s ask. Make sure to open the Chat Transcript in a separate page to view any links (documents/sources) the client has shared. Make note of all relevant details from the chat, including any documents the client shared, specific sources/timeframe requested, and information they want us to exclude.

Helpful tip: Paste the entire chat into the Goals section so you don’t have to go back and forth when summarizing the goals and objectives.

Read the Ingestion Details

Ingestion Details provide the client details and team names. Some ENT teams have dossier cards in Trello. If applicable, familiarize yourself with any applicable details from the team dossier.

<aside> 💡 Things To Keep Top of Mind: Wonder only offers secondary research to clients. If the client asks for primary research or requests data from paid sources/databases, take care to address this in your Strategy by clarifying that we only use publicly available sources and offering a suitable alternative to meet the client’s goal.

Conduct Preliminary Research

The purpose of preliminary research (presearch) is to determine data availability, and the scope of each project. Presearch also helps determine whether any clarifications are needed, or if - based on data availability - any pivots need to be suggested.
