Communication is essential in setting you up for success. We’re a fast-paced company - it’s important to keep up to date with announcements, updates, and new launches happening within our community. Here are the channels we to communicate with you:
Remain logged in to Slack so you can receive all important messages about updates or changes to a project.
Please feel free to tag @Jenny_Admin or @Lisa_AnalystSupport_Lead on Slack when sharing feedback, ideas, or concerns and for potential bugs, tech issues, job-related support, payment-related questions, or other urgent queries.
Lisa_AnalystSupport_Lead (Mon-Fri: 9AM – 5PM ET)
Elena_AnalystSupport/ResearchManager (Mon-Fri: 10AM - 6PM ET)
When setting up your Slack account, it’s important to keep a few things in mind.
Choose a username that is easily identifiable.
If your name is Jane Doe, we encourage you to create a username that correlates with your name such as “Janedoe”, “Jane D.”, or “janedoe1”. Why? If we need to get a hold of someone named Jane with an urgent message, having a username such as “mysterywoman” or “curiosityqueen” makes it very difficult to do that.
<aside> 🚫 Do not use spaces or dashes in your Slack name. The Wonder platform does not recognize these characters, and if used, will cause problems on the Wonder platform.

When messaging, state your complete question in your initial direct message.
While it is very polite to tell someone hello, we’re a fast-paced company where everyone is focused on multiple things at once. By accompanying a greeting with your question fully stated, you’re far more likely to get an answer in a timely manner.
Stay logged in and monitor Slack while you are working on a job.
Many times a client will come to us with additional information or change the project completely. If we message you, and you do not respond, we will have no other option but to think you are not actively working and would possibly have to remove you from the job.
Our primary source of communication among community members occurs in our Wonder Community Slack. Regardless of the mode of communication, we are committed to promoting and protecting our positive, inclusive community culture. As an organization that values curiosity, we are also committed to creating a productive learning environment that enriches your workplace experience with us.
We are respectful in all of our interactions.
We work with integrity.
We never stop learning (#StayCurious).
If you haven’t noticed yet, we’re a company that loves curiosity. 😉 Our community consists of a network of freelancers. As a freelancer, it’s your individual responsibility to ask questions when something is unclear. If there’s an answer you’re seeking, then don’t hesitate and ask a question! Keep in mind, that we’ll want to communicate in a way that aligns with our core values and guidelines. Find out more about our Community Guidelines here.
