A company analysis provides an in-depth analysis of specific aspects of a particular company or organization.
Generally, a company analysis includes at least five data points including:
- Company overview (e.g., what the company does, its founding details, HQ/locations, and/or employees)
- Products/services
- Value proposition
- Target market
- Publicly available financial details (e.g., revenue or funding, etc.).
Sometimes, the Research Criteria may ask for other parameters such as the company’s business model (e.g., wholesale, direct-to-consumer, business to business, or marketplace, etc.), competitive advantage, pricing, marketing messages, customer ratings, or reviews, etc. Make sure to stick to the parameters outlined in the Research Criteria.
Minimum Requirements for a General Company Analysis
- A brief company overview that includes the history, HQ locations, number of employees, and/or any other relevant information you feel is important. (as available)
- Their target market or audience with a 1-2 sentence explanation.
- List of 5-6 of their clients from their company website.
- Publicly available funding and/or other available financial information like their annual revenue, market cap and/or sales. (You are not required to triangulate).
- Provide one additional data point that is relevant to the client’s needs and relevant to the company you are researching. ( products/services, value proposition, etc.)
- Provide a minimum of one image per 3-hour request. If possible, add an image for each concept discussed.
Minimum Requirements for a Company Analysis with Marketing Focus
- A brief company overview that includes the history, HQ locations, number of employees, and/or any other relevant information you feel is important. (as available)
- 3-5 examples of advertising from the last 24 months.
- All social media platforms listed on their website with the following for each:
- High-level scan of their platforms for the last 6 months to get a sense of their posting schedule and engagement.
- Who they appear to be marketing towards
